There was no surprise when 12th ranked Samsun (2-8) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Tarsus Bld (7-3) 77-58. The game was mostly controlled by Tarsus Bld. Samsun was better in third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Samsun to just 5 points in second quarter. Tarsus Bld players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American Delisha Milton-Jones (186-74, college: Florida, agency: Josep and Nicolas) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized American forward Melisa Can (188-84, college: Rutgers) supported her with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Tarsus Bld's coach Erdel Yegin used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by American swingman Megan Frazee (191-87, college: Liberty) did not help to save the game for Samsun. Her fellow American import center Chante Black (195-85, college: Duke) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Tarsus Bld have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Botas. Samsun lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Tarsus Bld's next round opponent will be higher ranked Kayseri (#3) on the road and it may be the game of the week. Samsun will play against Ceyhan Bld (#8) in Adana.
