Fifteenth-ranked Antalya (2-10) gave a tough game to first ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (11-1) on Saturday. The visitors from Istanbul managed to secure only three-point victory 86-83. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Antalya won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Fenerbahce Ulker won last quarter 22-20. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian-Croatian Bojan Bogdanovic (203-89) who helped to win the game recording 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and international Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) who added 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach Simone Pianigiani used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Jermareo Davidson (208-84, college: Alabama) with 22 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import power forward Warren Carter (205-85, college: Illinois, agency: Edge Sports) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Antalya players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce Ulker have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Antalya lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Hacettepe. Fenerbahce Ulker are looking forward to face Aliaga (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Antalya will play against Gaziantep (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
