TB2L top team - Selcuk Universitesi (12-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Vestel (8-6) in Konya 83-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vestel. The game was mostly controlled by Selcuk Universitesi. Vestel was better in third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Selcuk Universitesi made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. American Bill Clark (195-88, college: Duquesne) notched 11 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Jeremy Granger (185-90, college: E.Illinois) supported him with 20 points. Four Selcuk Universitesi players scored in double figures. Selcuk Universitesi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 29 points by American guard Antabia Waller (188-88, college: Auburn) did not help to save the game for Vestel. Guard Serhat Ugur (192-85) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Selcuk Universitesi have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-2 record. Vestel at the other side dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Akhisar Bld. Selcuk Universitesi will play against Final Genclik (#9) in Bursa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vestel will play at home against Gelisim in Izmir and hopes to get back on the winning track.
