An exciting game was played in Burgas. Top-ranked Neftochimic faced 3rd ranked Haskovo 2012. Host Neftochimic (12-0) smashed guests from Haskovo (5-7) 87-58. The game was mostly controlled by Neftochimic. Haskovo 2012 managed to win fourth quarter 23-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Neftochimic dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Haskovo 2012's 34 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Neftochimic forced 19 Haskovo 2012 turnovers and outrebounded them 51-30 including a 40-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Tahnee Robinson (175-88, college: Nevada, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. Four Neftochimic players scored in double figures. Neftochimic's coach Peter Marinov felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian guard Amra Mehmedic (177-81) produced 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Bosnian power forward Alma Kovacevic (186-83) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Neftochimic have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record. Newly promoted Haskovo 2012 keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Levski and Montana 2003. Neftochimic are looking forward to face Beroe (#6) in Stara Zagora in the next round where they are favorite. Haskovo 2012 will play on the road against Levski in Sofia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
