An interesting game took place in Frankfurt where 13th ranked BBC Bayreuth (6-9) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (5-10) 76-59 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Deutsche Bank Skyliners led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Deutsche Bank Skyliners forced 24 BBC Bayreuth turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pro One Sports) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Quantez Robertson (189-84, college: Auburn) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Robertson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Italian-American forward Joe Trapani (203-88, college: Boston Coll.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Simon Schmitz (188-90) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Deutsche Bank Skyliners maintains sixteenth place with 5-10 record. BBC Bayreuth lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with NY Phantoms and MBC. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will meet at home higher ranked Bayern Muenchen (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BBC Bayreuth will play against ALBA Berlin (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
