Very predictable result in Frankfurt where sixth ranked Bayern Muenchen (10-6) beat 16th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (5-11) 73-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bayern Muenchen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Deutsche Bank Skyliners were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. International Robin Benzing (209-89) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll., agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. American guard Quantez Robertson (189-84, college: Auburn) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pro One Sports) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bayern Muenchen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Art.Dragons. Loser Deutsche Bank Skyliners keep the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Bayern Muenchen will face higher ranked ratiopharm Ulm (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
