Leader Fenerbahce Ulker delivered the twelfth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Aliaga (5-8) 95-61 in Istanbul. The game without a history. Fenerbahce Ulker led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Aliaga's 40. Fenerbahce Ulker forced 21 Aliaga turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Aliaga's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American-FYR Macedonian point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Fenerbahce Ulker players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach Simone Pianigiani felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Torin Francis (210-83, college: Notre Dame) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Lionel Chalmers (184-80, college: Xavier) added 21 points in the effort for Aliaga. Fenerbahce Ulker (12-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place. Aliaga at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Tofas and Erdemir. Fenerbahce Ulker will play against league's second-placed Anadolu Efes in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aliaga will play at home against Gaziantep (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
