The game in Bursa supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Anadolu Efes (11-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Tofas (5-8). Anadolu Efes smashed Tofas 94-71 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Anadolu Efes. Tofas managed to win second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while Tofas only scored eight points from the stripe. Serbian Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up and scored 22 points and 4 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international power forward Semih Erden (211-86) chipped in 13 points. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. At the losing side Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) scored 10 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Anadolu Efes. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Banvit BK. Loser Tofas keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Erdemir and Aliaga. Anadolu Efes will meet at home league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tofas will play against Olin Edirne (#14) and hope to secure a win.
