Another exciting game was played in Frankivsk between seventh ranked BC Donetsk and 4th ranked Hoverla where BC Donetsk (12-10) won against Hoverla (13-11) on the road 83-72. The game without a history. BC Donetsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. American-Trinidad and Tobago center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. BC Donetsk's coach Josep Berrocal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 7 assists in the effort for Hoverla. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 12-10 record. Hoverla at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost. BC Donetsk will play against higher ranked Halychyna (#4) in Lviv in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hoverla will play at home against Azovmash in Mariupol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
