Rather predictable result in Ankara where fourteenth ranked Bandirma Kir. (7-9) outscored 17th ranked Pi Koleji (3-13) 84-59. It looked good early as Pi Koleji took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bandirma Kir. had a 25-14 second period charge getting the lead and Pi Koleji was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-84. Bandirma Kir. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Pi Koleji's 22. They outrebounded Pi Koleji 43-26 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Bandirma Kir. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Pi Koleji helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Ahmet Cantitiz (193-92) who scored that evening 17 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Raymond Sykes (206-86, college: Clemson, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 5 rebounds by Halit Serdar Gungor (-77) did not help to save the game for Pi Koleji. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
