Very expected game when 14th ranked Crailsheim Merlins (5-11) were defeated at home by ninth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (8-8) 89-82 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 49-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Andre Calvin (196-85, college: Drake) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import power forward Taylor Rohde (205-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side naturalized American swingman Jonathan Moore (203-82, college: N.C.Central) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward Stevie Johnson (198-78, college: Iowa St.) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Crailsheim Merlins players scored in double figures. Ehingen/Urspringschule moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Heidelberg and Jena. Loser Crailsheim Merlins keep the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Kirchheim.
