Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Walter Tigers (8-9) won against on the road 16th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (5-12) 78-73 on Saturday. EnBW Ludwigsburg was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American players dominated also this game. Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Center Kenny Frease (213-89, college: Xavier) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Power forward John Turek (206-83, college: Nebraska) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kammron Taylor (188-84, college: Wisconsin, agency: Edge Sports) added 16 points in the effort for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Walter Tigers moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Bremerhaven and Phoenix Hagen. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg dropped to the seventeenth position with 12 games lost. Walter Tigers will face higher ranked Artland Dragons (#6) in Quakenbrueck in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
