There was no surprise in Paderborn where 11th ranked Finke Baskets (6-10) were defeated by sixth ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (10-6) 70-66 on Monday. The game without a history. BV Chemnitz 99 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard John Bynum (191-78, college: Metro St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) who added 8 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Jason Jamerson (190-86, college: Grand Valley St.) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Michael Jost (204-88) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. BV Chemnitz 99 have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Duesseldorf and Cuxhaven. Finke Baskets lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with NBC and Gotha. BV Chemnitz 99 will meet at home Cuxhaven BasCats (#4) in the next round. Finke Baskets will play against Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
