Regular Season Round 21: Randers - Naestved 96-76

The game in Randers supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Naestved (10-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Randers (7-10). Randers did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 96-76 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Naestved managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and Spanish point guard Miguel Ortega (188-91) chipped in 10 points and 13 assists. Five Randers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Caleb Walker (193-89, college: Nebraska) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Quinton Doggett (203, college: Southern) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Randers. Newly promoted Randers maintains sixth place with 7-10 record. Naestved at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with SISU. Randers will meet at home bottom-ranked Aalborg (#10) in the next round. Naestved will play against SISU (#4) in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
