There was an upset when higher ranked Final Genclik (8-9) lost to fourteenth ranked Istanbul B.B. (7-10) in Bursa 66-76 on Friday. The guests trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 48-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Istanbul B.B. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Final Genclik's 34. American power forward Arthur Johnson (206-81, college: Missouri) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Ahmet Bugrahan (-94) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Istanbul B.B. players scored in double figures. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Erdem Ilter (-90) added 17 points in the effort for Final Genclik. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Istanbul B.B. moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Bandirma Kir. and Baskent Genclik. Loser Final Genclik keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Istanbul B.B.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Darussafaka.
