An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of 4th ranked Suduva-Mantinga in a game in Marijampole versus Zalgiris-Sabonio (#8) 80-76. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Suduva-Mantinga won third quarter 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Zalgiris-Sabonio won last quarter 17-15. It was an exceptional evening for forward Marius Grigonis (198-94) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Lukas Lekavicius (180-94) accounted for 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Guard Zilvinas Kuklierius (180-85) came up with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Marius Valukonis (198-88) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Suduva-Mantinga in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Gintautas Zibuda tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Zalgiris-Sabonio maintains eighth place with 13-10 record. Suduva-Mantinga at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Triobet. Zalgiris-Sabonio will meet at home Radviliskis (#14) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Statyba (#7) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
