Very predictable result when ninth ranked Meresta (12-11) rolled over bottom-ranked Gargzdai-Bremena (4-19) in Pakruojis 73-47 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Meresta. Gargzdai-Bremena was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Meresta dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Gargzdai-Bremena's 28. Meresta had a 36-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Julius Jucikas (205-89) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Meresta's coach Dainius Bertulis felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
