There was no surprise in Giessen where 18th ranked LTi 46ers (4-14) were defeated by tenth ranked Phoenix Hagen (9-9) 105-98 on Saturday. Phoenix Hagen forced 23 LTi 46ers turnovers. American guard David Bell (186-81, agency: Three Eye Sports) fired 28 points and 4 steals for the winners. His fellow American import guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 26 points. Bosnian power forward Elvir Ovcina (212-76, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple, agency: Pro One Sports) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Five Phoenix Hagen and four LTi 46ers players scored in double figures. Phoenix Hagen moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Bremerhaven. LTi 46ers lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Phoenix Hagen will meet BBC Bayreuth (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. LTi 46ers will play against ALBA Berlin (#5) and hope to secure a win.
