Regular Season Round 14: Rist Wedel - Stahnsdorf 70-60

Very expected game when 12th ranked RSV Eintracht (4-10) was defeated on the road by third ranked SC Rist Wedel (11-3) 70-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-60. RSV Eintracht was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Fabian Boeke (208-86, college: Washington St.) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Augie Johnston (185-86, college: CS Monterey) chipped in 15 points. Four SC Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. Forward Yannick Evans (202-86) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Blair Wheadon (191-90, college: W.Oregon) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SC Rist Wedel moved-up to second place in Group North. Loser RSV Eintracht dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. SC Rist Wedel will face Dorsten (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. RSV Eintracht will play against Hannover Tigers (#9) in Hannover and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
