Rather predictable result in Cluj where seventh ranked U-Mobitelco (11-6) beat 10th ranked CSU Sibiu (8-9) 89-76. They outrebounded CSU Sibiu 37-22 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. U-Mobitelco players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by CSU Sibiu's players. Bulgarian Hristo Nikolov (200-85) nailed 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Derek Wright (180-86, college: Austin Peay St.) accounted for 15 points and 12 assists. U-Mobitelco's coach Niksa Bavcevic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international point guard Mihail-Octavian Paul (188-82) came up with 20 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American forward Devon Austin (198-87, college: Manhattan) added 18 points respectively for CSU Sibiu in the defeat. Five U-Mobitelco and four CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for U-Mobitelco. They maintain seventh place with 11-6 record.
