Very important is a road loss of second ranked Herten Lions (10-4) against fifth ranked Oldenburg (7-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Herten Lions were defeated by Oldenburg in a tough game in Oldenburg 92-96. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Herten Lions. Herten Lions were ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 29-18 charge of Oldenburg, which allowed them to win the game. Naturalized American center Chris Heinrich (208-77, college: St.Louis) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Michael Taylor (193-87, college: Whitworth) contributed with 23 points and 4 assists for the winners. Oldenburg's coach Mladen Drijencic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Will Taylor (200-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and guard Tim Schonborn (191-90) added 24 points in the effort for Herten Lions.
