Regular Season Round 12: Freiburg - BG 89 Avides 76-68

Date: January 12, 2013
No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Eisvogel Freiburg (7-5) defeated at home 8th ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (5-7) 76-68. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by swingman Jahzinga Tracey (185, college: Indiana, PA) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Brooque Williams (176, college: California, PA) supported her with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Eisvogel Freiburg players scored in double figures. Eisvogel Freiburg's coach Stefan Mienack allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by forward Centhya Hart (185-89, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for Rotenburg/Scheessel. Guard Vanessa House (170-88, college: W.Virginia) added 13 points and 7 rebounds. Eisvogel Freiburg have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Osnabruck. Newly promoted Rotenburg/Scheessel keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Eisvogel Freiburg's next round opponent will be higher ranked Heli Girls (#3) in Noerdlingen and it may be quite challenging game. Rotenburg/Scheessel will play at home against Wildcats Wolfenbuettel (#4).
