Very expected game when 14th ranked Crailsheim Merlins (5-12) lost on the road to fifth ranked Duesseldorf Baskets (11-6) 83-66 on Sunday. The game without a history. Duesseldorf Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Naturalized American forward Adam Waleskowski (204-82, college: Florida St., agency: Three Eye Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points. Guard Nico Adamczak (189-90) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import power forward Stevie Johnson (198-78, college: Iowa St.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Crailsheim Merlins. Crailsheim Merlins' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Duesseldorf Baskets moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cuxhaven. Crailsheim Merlins at the other side keep the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Duesseldorf Baskets will face bottom-ranked USC Leipzig (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Crailsheim Merlins will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg.
