Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Finke Baskets (7-11) were rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (12-6) 103-79. The game was mostly controlled by Cuxhaven BasCats. Finke Baskets was better in second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cuxhaven BasCats made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Scott Thomas (200-89, college: Bowling Green, agency: I.D.S. Law) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Cuxhaven BasCats players scored in double figures. Cuxhaven BasCats' coach Krists Plendiskis felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Michael Fleischmann (205-86) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American swingman Jason Adams (194-89, college: Missouri So.) added 19 points in the effort for Finke Baskets. Cuxhaven BasCats have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Duesseldorf and Karlsruhe. Finke Baskets at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Cuxhaven BasCats' next round opponent will be Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#13) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Finke Baskets will play against Kirchheim Knights.
