The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Hannover's (2-11) road loss to eleventh ranked Dolphins Bielefeld (4-9) 69-70 on Saturday. Dolphins Bielefeld outrebounded Hannover 42-31 including 28 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for American center Sarah Acker (191, college: Delaware) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Natascha Bunts (170) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Dolphins Bielefeld's coach David Bunts used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Alexa Mennen (185-87, college: N.Iowa) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and guard Annika Schudak (160) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Hannover. Four Hannover players scored in double figures. Dolphins Bielefeld moved-up to ninth place in North. Hannover lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Dolphins Bielefeld will face higher ranked TG Neuss (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hannover will play against Hagen Phoenix (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
