There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Rhein Main Baskets (6-7) defeated on the road 7th ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (6-7) 75-70. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Rhein Main Baskets made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by BC Pharmaserv Marburg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Denise Beliveau (180-89, college: New Hampshire) nailed 18 points for the winning side and guard Alyssa Karel (170-89, college: Wisconsin) accounted for 18 points. Four Rhein Main Baskets players scored in double figures. Rhein Main Baskets' coach Steffen Brockmann allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Samantha Baranowski (190-90, college: Maine) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Amanda Davidson (170-83, college: Indianapolis) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for BC Pharmaserv Marburg in the defeat.
