There was a change at the ProA leadership position after last games. Round 18 most important game was a defeat of league's leader BG Goettingen (14-4). They were crushed by second ranked SC Rasta Vechta (14-4) 100-68 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of BG Goettingen. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. SC Rasta Vechta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BG Goettingen's 24. They outrebounded BG Goettingen 47-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by BG Goettingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Corey Hassan (193-87, college: Sacred Heart) scored 32 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian forward Jacob Doerksen (200-87) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Goettingen. BG Goettingen will play next round against Crailsheim Merlins trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
