Very important is a road loss of second ranked TG Chooza Ladybaskets (8-3) against fifth ranked TSV Amicitia (7-5) on Sunday night. Visiting TG Chooza Ladybaskets were defeated by TSV Amicitia in a tough game in Viernheim 73-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TG Chooza Ladybaskets. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TG Chooza Ladybaskets won fourth quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TSV Amicitia made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American guard Johnette Walker (173-87, college: Radford) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import swingman Kellindra Zackery (182-88, college: Newman) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. TSV Amicitia's coach Adrian Crawford allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side forward Margret Pfister (182-86) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Raphaela Jochimczyk (180-90) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TSV Amicitia maintains fifth place in South with 7-5 record. TG Chooza Ladybaskets at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. They share it with Keltern. TSV Amicitia will play against Trier (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TG Chooza Ladybaskets will play against Gruner Stern Keltern (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
