Regular Season Round 13: Osnabruck - Oberhausen 52-68

We should mention about the upset which took place in Osnabruck, where higher ranked Osnabruck (6-7) lost at home to tenth ranked Oberhausen (4-9) 52-68. The game was mostly controlled by Oberhausen. Osnabruck was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Osnabruck to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Osnabruck 45-32 including 35 on the offensive glass. American center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 24 rebounds for the winning side and Dutch forward Sharon Beld (184-88) accounted for 16 points. Four Oberhausen players scored in double figures. Center Jessica Hootmann (190-85) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Osnabruck in the defeat. Oberhausen maintains tenth place with 4-9 record. Newly promoted Osnabruck keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Oberhausen's next round opponent will be league's second-placed SV Halle Lions on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
