Seventh-ranked Rilski Sportist (1-15) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Haskovo 2012 (7-8) in Samokov on Wednesday. The visitors from Haskovo managed to secure only one-point victory 64-63. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 17-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Haskovo 2012 dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski Sportist's 22. The best player for the winners was Latvian center Anita Teilane (196-85) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Montenegrin Biljana Turcinovic (186-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Anne Farrell (187-88, college: Centenary, LA, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Veronika Djikova (180-90) added 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Haskovo 2012 moved-up to fourth place. Rilski Sportist lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Haskovo 2012 are looking forward to face league's second-placed Dunav 8806 in Ruse in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rilski Sportist will play on the road against Beroe (#6) in Stara Zagora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
