An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Donetsk. Second ranked Khartsyzsk faced one of their biggest challengers Avantazh-Politekhnik. Host Khartsyzsk (15-3) smashed guests from Kharkov (13-3) 114-90. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Avantazh-Politekhnik. The game without a history. Khartsyzsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Avantazh-Politekhnik's 40. Khartsyzsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Vladimir Orlenko (214-85) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Evgen Korovyakov (197-88) who added 15 points during the contest. The former international guard Timur Arabadzhi (192-81) responded with 32 points and 7 rebounds and forward Anton Rochnyak (206-91) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Khartsyzsk have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-3 record having five points less than leader Musson. Loser Avantazh-Politekhnik keeps the third place with three games lost. Khartsyzsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Avantazh-Politekhnik will play against Ternopil-TNEU and hope to secure a win.
