Regular Season Round 15: Dizdar - Botas 70-75

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Istanbul. Third ranked Botas faced 4th placed Dizdar. Guests from Adana (13-2) defeated host Dizdar (9-6) 75-70. Dizdar was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for center Tilbe Senyurek (188-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Cansu Yetis (168-93) helped adding 9 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Ayna Gokova with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks and Merve Uygul (-88) scored 23 points. Four Dizdar players scored in double figures. Dizdar's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Botas have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They keep a position of Group A leader, which they share with Nallihan and Altay Konak. Dizdar lost third consecutive game. Dizdar at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Botas will meet Celtispor (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dizdar will play against 55 Genclik (#5) in Samsun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
