A very interesting game took place in Paderborn. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 12th ranked Finke Baskets (7-12) to fifteenth ranked Kirchheim Knights (7-12) 87-85 in the game for the twelfth place. Finke Baskets were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 21-14 third quarter run of Kirchheim Knights. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Finke Baskets' 40. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Sebastian Adeberg (198-84) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Justin Stommes (200-88, college: E.Kentucky) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. American guard Jason Jamerson (190-86, college: Grand Valley St.) answered with 21 points and the other American import swingman Billy Rush (201-88, college: Robert Morris) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Finke Baskets. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Finke Baskets. Kirchheim Knights' next round opponent will be higher ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
