Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Bayer Giants (9-7) defeated 8th ranked Leitershofen (7-9) in Leverkusen 103-88 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 59-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Bayer Giants made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Leitershofen only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded Leitershofen 40-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Bayer Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists.
