The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Usak (14-4) in Giresun on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Yesilgiresun (12-6) 71-69. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Usak. Usak was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 17-13 charge of Yesilgiresun, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 22 Usak turnovers. American center John Ofoegbu (206-84, college: Idaho St.) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and forward Erhan Yetim (204-87) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Usak's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Yesilgiresun moved-up to fourth place. Usak at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Yesilgiresun are looking forward to face Istanbulspor (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Usak will play against Akhisar Bld (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
