An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Balikesir. Third ranked Banvit BK faced their biggest opponent Anadolu Efes. Host Banvit BK (14-2) defeated guests from Istanbul (13-3) 82-76. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Anadolu Efes. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Dominican-American guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American point guard Jordan Farmar (188-86, college: UCLA) replied with 14 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and the former international power forward Semih Erden (211-86) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Anadolu Efes. Four Banvit BK and five Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Banvit BK have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fener.Ulker. Anadolu Efes at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Karsiyaka and Galatasaray. Banvit BK will play against bottom-ranked Olin Edirne (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
