Regular Season Round 16: SISU - Aabyhoj 87-67

Undefeated leader SISU delivered the fifteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Aabyhoj (3-12) 87-67 in Copenhagen. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Aabyhoj was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Aabyhoj's 48. SISU forced 23 Aabyhoj turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Marie Malone (191-89, college: Hofstra) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Camilla Blands (180-85, college: Alabama) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four SISU players scored in double figures. SISU's coach Hrannar Holm allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Kelly Meredith (182, college: Assumption) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Maria Jespersen (182-94) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Aabyhoj. SISU (15-0) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 15 victories in a row. Aabyhoj lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. SISU will play against Falcon (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aabyhoj will play against Horsens (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
