Ligaen top team - Svendborg (20-2) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat tenth ranked Aalborg (1-19) 82-71. The game without a history. Svendborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Donald Rutherford (199-87, college: Catawba) nailed 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 18-of-20 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) accounted for 22 points and 6 assists. Svendborg's coach Craig Pedersen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Anthony Jones (208-89, college: Baylor) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian center Milan Bjegovic (211-81) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Aalborg in the defeat.
