Regular Season Round 15: BG 89 Avides - Rhein MB 76-57

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Rhein Main Baskets (6-9) were crushed on the road by ninth ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (6-9) 76-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rotenburg/Scheessel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rotenburg/Scheessel forced 23 Rhein Main Baskets turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Rotenburg/Scheessel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Vanessa House (170-88, college: W.Virginia) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Power forward Samantha Meissel (188-88, college: Indianapolis) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Denise Beliveau (180-89, college: New Hampshire) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alyssa Karel (170-89, college: Wisconsin) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rotenburg/Scheessel moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Rhein Main Baskets. Rotenburg/Scheessel will face BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#8) on the road in the next round.
