ProB top team - Dragons Rhoendorf (15-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked Dresden (6-11) 82-69. The game was mostly controlled by Dragons Rhoendorf. Dresden was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Dresden 46-27 including 20 on the offensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Geddes Robinson (195-87, college: Utah Valley, agency: SDJ Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 21 rebounds for the winners and center Alejo Rodriguez (203-88, college: Iona) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Andrew Jones (191-83, college: Miles) responded with 23 points and center Jared Benson (208-89, college: N.Michigan) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragons Rhoendorf maintains first place in Group South with 15-2 record. Dresden lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face TV 1862 Langen (#5) on the road in the next round. Dresden will play against Hanau (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
