An interesting game took place in Oberhausen where 4th placed Eisvogel Freiburg (9-6) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Oberhausen (6-9) 53-48 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Eisvogel Freiburg. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 53-48. It was a great evening for Dutch forward Sharon Beld (184-88) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Eisvogel Freiburg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Oberhausen. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Eisvogel Freiburg keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Oberhausen will face higher ranked Wildcats Wolfenbuettel (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eisvogel Freiburg will play against the league's second-placed SV Halle Lions where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
