Regular Season Round 21: Craiova - Satu Mare 47-68

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Satu Mare (17-3) smashed on the road 10th ranked Craiova (8-12) 68-47. The game without a history. Satu Mare led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Craiova's 18 and made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Satu Mare forced 25 Craiova turnovers. American forward Utahya Drye (185-88, college: Virginia Tech) nailed 10 points and 5 assists for the winning side and international guard Annemarie Parau (170-84) accounted for 11 points and 6 assists. Satu Mare had such big advantage that coach Dan Fleseriu felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 10 players saving starting five for next games. Serbian guard Marija Prlja (163-87) came up with 16 points and the former international center Gabriela Toma (192-74) added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Craiova in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Satu Mare. They moved-up to second place. Craiova lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Satu Mare's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Satu Mare .
