BBL top team - Brose Bask. (18-2) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked New Yorker Phantoms (6-14) in Bamberg 93-74. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Bask.. New Yorker Phantoms managed to win second period 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Slovakian point guard Anton Gavel (188-84, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Brose Bask. players scored in double figures. International point guard Dennis Schroeder (181-93) answered with 20 points and 4 assists and Canadian guard Jermaine Anderson (188-83, college: Fordham) added 11 points and 6 assists in the effort for New Yorker Phantoms. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brose Bask. have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-2 record. New Yorker Phantoms lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Fraport SKY. Brose Bask. are looking forward to face EWE Baskets (#4) in Oldenburg in the next round. New Yorker Phantoms will play at home against TBB Trier (#9) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
