An exciting game was played in Kyiv. First ranked Dynamo faced 3rd placed Tim-Scuf. Host Dynamo (14-4) smashed guests from Kyiv (8-8) 102-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tim-Scuf. The game without a history. Dynamo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Tim-Scuf's 38 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Tim-Scuf 40-20 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) who led her team to a victory scoring 28 points and 9 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Kimberly Williams (168-74, college: De Paul, agency: Merit Sports) helped adding 25 points and 4 assists. Four Dynamo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Krystyna Matsko (182-91) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Inna Kochubei (174-82) scored 21 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dynamo. They maintain first place with 14-4 record. Defending champion Tim-Scuf keeps the third position with eight games lost. Dynamo will meet Bar Regina-B. (#5) on the road in the next round. Tim-Scuf will play against Interkhim in Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
