Bottom-ranked Herner TC managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Herner TC won against fifth-ranked Osnabruck 76-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Osnabruck. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 21-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Herner TC made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Herner TC outrebounded Osnabruck 42-30 including a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Herner TC (4-12) moved-up to eleventh place. Osnabruck at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Heli Girls. Herner TC will meet higher ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Osnabruck will play against Eisvogel Freiburg (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
