Regular Season Round 20: Fortuna - Jaunieji Talentai 89-86

Eighth-ranked Jaunieji Talentai (1-20) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Fortuna (15-6) in Klaipeda on Saturday. Fortuna managed to secure only three-point victory 89-86. However their fans expected much easier game. Fortuna made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Jaunieji Talentai turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Jaunieji Talentai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Lina Aglinskaite (182-87) who scored 28 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Justina Kraujunaite (174-95) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 assists and 7 steals and Laura Juskaite (187-97) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Fortuna and four Jaunieji Talentai players scored in double figures. Fortuna moved-up to third place. Jaunieji Talentai lost sixteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
