BC Pharmaserv Marburg defeated Rotenburg/Scheessel 67-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Pharmaserv Marburg. Rotenburg/Scheessel was better in third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Martha White (187-89, college: NC-Wilmington) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. The former international forward Margret Skuballa (186-87) chipped in 17 points. Four BC Pharmaserv Marburg players scored in double figures. American forward Anna McLean (187-87, college: Iona) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Vanessa House (170-88, college: W.Virginia) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. BC Pharmaserv Marburg moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Oberhausen and Rhein MB. Newly promoted Rotenburg/Scheessel dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will face higher ranked Heli Girls (#5) in Noerdlingen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rotenburg/Scheessel will play at home against Herner TC (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
