Regular Season Round 17: Antakya - TED Ankara 65-76

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked TED Ankara (7-10) beat 9th ranked Antakya (7-10) in Hatay 76-65. The game was mostly controlled by TED Ankara. Antakya was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Antakya 40-28 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Marcedes Marie Walker (191-86, college: Pittsburgh, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Montenegrin swingman Ana Dabovic (183-89) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five TED Ankara players scored in double figures. American Jolene Anderson (175-86, college: Wisconsin) produced 16 points and center Naile Cirak (185-85) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. TED Ankara moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Antakya. Antakya lost their fourth game in a row. TED Ankara's next round opponent will be league's leader Fenerbahce in Istanbul and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
