The most important game in the last round took place in Kapfenberg between second ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (15-5) and seventh ranked Gussing Knights (11-9) on Sunday night. Kapfenberg Bulls were defeated by Gussing Knights in a tough game at home 74-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kapfenberg Bulls. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-12. But Kapfenberg Bulls won second period 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Gussing Knights won last quarter 22-16. Gussing Knights outrebounded Kapfenberg Bulls 39-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Thomas Klepeisz (185-91, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American center Hamidu Rahman (210-87, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Giovonne Woods (191-86, college: Cent.Washington, agency: Court Side) replied with 16 points and 8 assists and American-Mexican forward Mark Sanchez (201-87, college: Boise St., agency: Court Side) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Kapfenberg Bulls. Five Gussing Knights and four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Gussing Knights moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Wels and Oberwart. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. They share it with Gmunden.
