Very expected game when 14th ranked BC Kyiv (6-23) was smashed at home by fourth ranked Halychyna (18-11) 78-59. The game was mostly controlled by Halychyna. BC Kyiv was better in second period 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BC Kyiv 44-28 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. BC Kyiv was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Michael Lee (207-86) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford) scored 13 points. Halychyna moved-up to third place, which they share with Ferro-ZNTU. BC Kyiv lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Halychyna will play against BC Odessa (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Kyiv will play against Ferro-ZNTU in Zaporozhye and hopes to get back on the winning track.
